Human rights are at the core of New Zealand’s development assistance policy managed by the New Zealand Agency for International Development (NZAID). New Zealand, in close cooperation with development partners, is committed to protecting and promoting human rights, and to mainstreaming them into its full range of development assistance programmes and policies to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
